Challa Punugulu

Ingredients:

1.Idly batter
2.Curd
3.Salt to taste
4.Maida
5.Onion chopped
6.Curry leaves
7.Oil
8.Cumin seeds
9.Green chillies
10.Ginger chopped
11.Dry red chillies

Preparation:

1.Heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
2.Take a bowl add 1 cup of idly batter,ginger chopped,green chillies,cumin seeds,salt to taste,onion chopped 1/2 cup,maida 1/2 cup and mix well all the ingredients evenly.
3.Slowly drop the mixture in hot oil like punugulu and deep fry.
4.Keep turning the punugulu till they change into golden brown colour,transfer into a paper napkin.Drain excess oil.
5.Take a bowl add 1 cup curd,some water,salt to taste and whisk it.
6.Take a pan pour some oil and heat it,add  cumin seeds,curry leaves,dry red chillies and saute for a minute.
7.Transfer punugulu into a bowl,spread 1 cup curd on it,garnish with tempering mixture on top,Serve cold.
