Crusty potato Fingers


1.Potatoes cut into fingers 2 large
2.Corn flakes crushed 2 1/2 cups
3.Oil for deep frying
4.Onion roughly chopped medium
5.Green chilli chopped
6.Ginger 1/2 inch piece
7.Salt to taste
8.Maida 1/2 cup
9.Corn flour 1 tbsp


1.Heat 4 cups of water and parboil the potatoes sliced.
2.Grind green chillies,ginger chopped,onion sliced into a smooth paste.
3.Drain potatoes and keep aside.
4.Mix the ground paste with salt,maida,corn flour.
5.Add some water to make a thick batter.
6.Meanwhile heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
7.Dip the potatoes in batter,roll into crushed corn flakes and drop them in hot oil.
8.Deep fry till golden brown colour and transfer onto a paper napkin,remove excess oil and serve hot.
