Methi Aloo


1.Fenugreek leaves 2 small bunches
2.Oil 2 tbsp
3.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
4.Garlic chopped 1 tbsp
5.Ginger paste 1 tbsp
6.Dry red chillies 2
7.Red onions chopped 2
8.Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
9.Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
10.Potatoes parboiled 2
11.Salt to taste
12.Lemon juice 1 tbsp


1.Heat a pan on medium heat and pour some oil.
2.Add cumin seeds and when they start change in colour,add garlic chopped and ginger paste.Saute for 30 seconds.
3.Add red onions chopped and saute till they are translucent,add dry red chillies and saute for a minute.
4.Cook on medium flame,add red chilli powder,turmeric powder and saute for 30 seconds.
5.Add fenugreek leaves and stir well,now add parboiled potatoes and give it a stir.
6.Cook for 2-3 minutes till potatoes are completely done.
7.Finally add lemon juice,salt and give it a good stir,cook for 1 minute.Serve hot.
