1.Wheat flour 2 cups
2.Baking powder 1/4
3.Ghee 2/3 cup for soaking
4.Carom seeds 1/2 tbsp


1.Sieve wheat flour,baking powder and salt.
2.Preheat the oven to 220 degrees C.
3.Add 2/3 cup ghee into flour,mix well till it resembles bread crumbs.
4.Add carom seeds and mix well with 3/4 cups water,prepare a soft dough.
5.Divide the dough into 8 portions and prepare round balls.
6.Bake them in 220 degrees C for 10 minutes,afterwards lower the heat below 200 degrees and continue to bake for 30-35 minutes.
7.After done,remove from oven and press lightly.Transfer into a bowl of ghee,soak for about 1 hour,remove and serve with dal or ghee.
