Chicken Curry

Chicken Curry


1.Chicken 2 lbs
2.Oil 2 tbsp
3.Onions chopped 2 medium
4.Tomatoes 3 medium chopped
5.Cinnamon stick 1
6.Black cardamom 1
7.Pepper corns 4
8.Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
9.Garlic cloves 1/2 tbsp chopped
10.Ginger grated 1/2 tbsp
11.Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
12.Red chilli powder to taste
13.Salt to taste
14.Yogurt 1/2 cup whisked
15.Lemon juice 2 tbsp
16.Coriander leaves (Cilantro)
17.Green chilli 1 finely chopped


1.Take a non stick wok pour some oil and heat it on medium flame.
2.Add cumin seeds allow them to splutter,add cinnamon stick,cardamom,pepper corns and cook for 15 seconds.
3.Add onion chopped saute till golden and translucent,add ginger and garlic,mix well.
4.Add tomatoes chopped and give it a mix.
5.Now add dry spices red chilli powder,salt,garam masala powder.Lower the heat and cook for 5 minutes.
6.Add chicken and mix well,cook for 6-7 minutes.
7.Add curd and mix well along with chicken,now lower the heat.
8.Cover and cook for 10 minutes,keep stirring.
9.Remove from heat and add lemon juice,cilantro leaves.Give it a good mix.Serve hot.
