Methi Malai Mater


1.Fenugreek leaves 1 bunch
2.Green peas 1/2 kg
3.Whipping cream 1 cup
4.Milk 147ml
5.Salt to taste
6.Oil 1 tbsp
7.Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
8.Dry red chillies
9.Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
10.Onion 1/2 medium chopped
11.Tomato 1 medium chopped
12.Turmeric powder 1/4 tbsp
13.Coriander powder 1 tbsp
14.Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
15.Red chilli powder to taste


1.Wash fenugreek leaves throughly and chop finely.
2.Sprinkle some salt on leaves and set aside for 15-20 minutes.
3.Take a pan pour some oil and heat it.
4.Add cumin seeds and saute for 15 seconds.
5.Add dry red chillies,turmeric powder and saute,add onions and mix well.Fry for 2-3 minutes.
6.Add Ginger, mix and cook until Onions are a light golden color.
7.Add Tomatoes, mix and cook for 5 minutes.
8.Add Green Peas, Coriander Powder, Garam Masala, Red Chili Powder and Salt. Mix well, cover and cook for 5 minutes.
9. Squeeze out salt water from Fenugreek Leaves and add it to the peas.
10. Cover and cook until Peas and Fenugreek Leaves are cooked (3-6 minutes).
11. Add in Heavy Whipping Cream and Evaporated Milk, mix well and bring to a boil.Serve hot.
