Bengali Mustard Fish Curry

Ingredients:

1.Fish 500 gms
2.Turmeric powder 1/4 tbsp
3.Salt to taste
4.Mustard oil 3 tbsp
5.Onion 1/2 large
6.Garlic cloves 7-8
7.Green chillies to taste
8.Mustard seeds 1 tbsp
9.Cumin powder 1/4 tbsp
10.Red chilli powder  1/4 tbsp
11.Coriander leaves for garnishing
12.Tomato 1/2 large

Preparation:

1.Marinate Fish for 10 minutes with 1/4 tsp of Turmeric Powder and 1/4 tsp Salt.
2.In a grinder form a paste of onion,tomato,garlic,green chillies and mustard seeds.
3.Take another pan pour mustard oil and fry fish for 1 minutes and transfer onto a paper napkin.
4.In the same pan add add ground paste, Cumin Powder, Red Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder and Salt. Mix well, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes.
5.Cook until oil separates from the mixture.
6.Add fried fish and coat well in the mixture.
7.Add hot water and gently give it a stir.Cover and cook for 5-87 minutes.
8.Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with chapati or rice.
