Sooji Roti


1.Sooji (Bombay ravva ) 1 cup
2.Oil 1 tbsp
3.Salt to taste
4.Rice flour for dusting


1.Boil 1.5 cups of water in a pan with lid.
2.Add Oil and Salt. Mix well.
3. Reduce heat to a simmer and slowly add Sooji to the water and keep stirring continuously without forming any lumps.
4.Mix well and off the stove,rest the mixture aside for 5 minutes.
5.Once the mixture cool down knead into a dough. Form the dough into balls and roll them into thin chapati
6.Cook the rotis on a tava or skillet on one side for about a minute. Flip and cook other side for another minute.
7. Increase the heat to a high and allow the roti to puff directly on the flame.Serve hot.
