Curry Leaves Chutney


1.Curry leaves 2 cups
2.Oil 1 tbsp
3.Mustard seeds 1/2 tbsp
4.Asafoetida 1/8 tbsp
5.Green chilli to taste
6.Coconut grated 1/2 cup
7.Tamarind paste 2 tbsp
8.Salt to taste
9.Jaggery 1/2 tbsp


1.Wash and dry curry leaves and set aside.
2.Take a pan pour some oil and heat it,add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.
3.Now lower the heat and add in dry red chilli,asafoetida,curry leaves.
4.Fry the ingredients in oil for few minutes.
5.Increase the flame to a medium and add the Green Chili and shredded Coconut.
6.Mix and cook for 5 minutes.Transfer into a bowl and rest the mixture to cool.
7. Once cooled, transfer to a grinder and add Tamarind Paste, Salt, Jaggery and Water and grind to a smooth paste.
8.Transfer to a bowl and serve with Dosa, Idli, Vada.
