Paneer Mushroom Biryani

Paneer Mushroom Biryani


1.Basmati rice 2 cups soaked and boiled 80% done
2.Paneer 1 cup
3.Mushrooms 2 cups
4.Onion 1 big sliced
5.Tomato puree 1 no.
6.Lemon juice 1 tbsp
7.Red chilli powder 2 tbsp
8.Salt to taste
9.Mint leaves 1/4 cup
10.Coriander leaves 1/4 cup
11.Whole garam masala
12.Ghee 2 tbsp
13.Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
14.Fried onions
15.Biryani masala 2 tbsp
16.Saffron strands
17.Coriander powder 1 tbsp
18.Green chillies 2 chopped


1.Take a bowl add in red chilli powder,ginger garlic paste,salt,lemon juice and mix well.
2.Add mushrooms,paneer to this mixture and coat well.
3.Add coriander leaves,mint leaves to the marination and mix well.
4.Cover and marinade the mixture for 30 minutes.
5.Take a pan pour some oil and heat it.
6.Add cumin seeds,onion sliced and saute till nice golden brown color.
7.Add ginger garlic paste and mix well till raw smell goes off.
8.Add coriander powder,red chilli powder and mix well.Fry for 2 minutes.
9.Add tomato puree and saute,cover and cook for 2 minutes.Now add marinated mushrooms and paneer.
10.Add 1 cup water,cover and  cook for 5 minutes.
11.After 5 minutes remove the lid and add some salt.
12.Now arrange biryani,for this take some gravy in a separate bowl for layering.
13.Now spread first layer with some rice,sprinkle some biryani masala,fried onions.Now add third layer mushroom paneer gravy,sprinkle some biryani masala and fried onions.
14.Finally add saffron water and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.
15.After 10 minutes simmer the flame and cook for another 20 minutes.After 20 minutes let it rest for 10 minutes.Serve hot.
