Mutton Pulao

Mutton Pulao


1.Mutton 1 lb
2.Basmati rice 1 cup
3.Mint leaves 1/2 cup
4.Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
5.Oil 3 tbsp
6.Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
7.Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
8.Fennel powder 1 tbsp
9.Lemon juice 1 tbsp
10.Whole garam masala
11.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
12.Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
13.Onion sliced 1 bog
14.Salt to taste
15.Green chillies 6


1.Wash and cut well mutton into big pieces.
2.Take a bowl add in ginger garlic paste,turmeric powder,fennel powder,lemon juice,pudina leaves,whole garam masala,coriander leaves and mix well.
3.Cover and marinate for 3 hours.
4.Add marinated mutton into pressure cooker,add in green chillies,salt to taste,2 cups of water and mix well.Cook till 4 whistles.
5.Once mutton is partially cooked,remove the stock.
6.Wash and soak rice for 30 minutes.
7.Take a pan pour some oil and heat it.Add cumin seeds,whole garam masala,fennel seeds,sliced onion.Mix well and saute till light golden color.
8.Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute.
9.Add mutton pieces,green chillies,coriander leaves,mint leaves and mix well.Add soaked water and give it a mix.
10.Now add mutton stock,adjust salt and mix well,Cook on high flame for 5 minutes.
11.Now lower the flame and cook for another 5-10 minutes.
12.After 10 minutes off the stove and rest it for another 10 minutes.Serve hot.
