Tamarind Chutney

Tamarind Chutney


1.Tamarind 1/2 lb
2.Sugar 2 1/2 cups
3.Roasted cumin seeds 1 1/2 tbsp
4.Salt 1 tbsp
5.Black salt 1 tbsp
6.Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
7.Black pepper 1 tbsp
8.Ginger powder 1/2 tbsp


1.Break the tamarind into small pieces and soak them in ho water for 1 hour.
2.Mash into a pulp,strain it with help of a strainer.
3.Add sugar to the pulp and mix well.
4.Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.If need we can adjust sugar,pepper powder.
5.We can refrigerate for 2-3 months.
