1.Maida 1 cup
2.Sooji 1/4 cup
3.Oil 2 tbsp
4.Sugar 3/4 cup
5.Cardamom powder 1/2 tbsp
6.Coconut powder 3 tbsp


1.Mix maida,sooji and oil in a bowl and prepare a stiff dough by adding some water.Knead well the dough.Set aside for 15 minutes.
2.Divide dough in two equal parts.Take each part of the dough and make a flat ball shape. Roll them into circles.
3.Prick them with a fork all over the rolled dough, so the paras do not puff when frying.
4.Cut each of the rolled dough into squares, meanwhile Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium heat.
5.Add in paras in hot oil and deep fry till light golden color.
6.In a pan add in water,sugar and bring it to boil.turn the heat down to medium and stir to dissolve the sugar.
7.Boil the syrup until thread consistency,add in coconut powder,cardamom powder and mix it well.
8.Add in fried paras and mix well and give it a fine stir that all paras are coated with sugar syrup.Paras are ready.
