Spinach Pakodi


1.Besan flour 1/2 cup
2.Corn flour 1 tbsp
3.Salt to taste
4.Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
5.Black pepper 1/4 tbsp
6.Asafoetida 1/8 tbsp
7.Spinach leaves 30
8.Oil for deep fry


1.Mix all the dry ingredients together: besan, corn starch, black pepper,
cumin seeds, asafetida, and salt. Corn starch adds to the crispness.
2.Add the water slowly to make a smooth batter.Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium high heat.
3.Dip the spinach leaf into the batter one at a time, making sure it is covered by the batter completely,slowly drop in the slices into the frying pan.
4.Fry the pakoras about 2 to 3 minute,Fry the pakoras until both sides are golden-brown.Serve hot.
