Indian Milk Cake


1.Milk 6 cups
2.Lemon juice 3 tbsp
3.Sugar 1/2 cup
4.Cardamom crushed 1/8 tbsp
5.Ghee or butter 2 tbsp
6.Pista sliced 1 tbsp


1.Grease a 6-inch plate and set aside.
2.In a large pan boil the milk for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
3.Add lemon juice to the milk, it will begin to curdle. Use minimum amount of lemon juice to just start the curdling proces.
4.Boil for 5 minutes and remove the whey.Continue to cook and stir occasionally
5.Add sugar and cardamom and keep stirring until the mixture starts coming together.
6.Lower the heat to medium and cook for another 4-5 minutes until mixture changes to a slightly golden brown color.
7.Transfer mixture to the greased plate and press firmly into a square shape, sprinkle sliced pistachios on top.Slice into desired shapes and serve.
