Butter Sponge Atlu


1.Rice 1 cup
2.Curd 1 cup
3.Atukulu 1/4 cup
4.Fenugreek seeds
5.Carrot grated 1/2 cup
6.Onion chopped 1
7.Green chillies chopped 3
8.Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
9.Coriander leaves
10.Salt to taste
11.Baking soda
12.Oil 2 tbsp


1.Soak overnight rice,atukulu,fenugreek seeds in curd and blend into a smooth batter.Sprinkle some salt,baking soda and mix well.
2.Take a pan pour 2 tbsp oil and heat it,pour some batter and sprinkle some cumin seeds,carrot grated,coriander leaves,onion chopped,green chillies.Cover and cook for few minutes on medium flame till done.
3.Cook on both sides evenly by covering the lid.Transfer into a plate and serve hot with chutney.
