Carrot Pongali


1.Rice 1/2 cup
2.Moong dal 1/4 cup
3.Carrot grated 1/2 cup
4.Jaggery grated 1 cup
5.Ghee 1/4 cup
6.Dry fruits 20 grams
7.Cardamom powder 1/2 tbsp


1.Firstly boil moong dal,rice together and keep aside.
2.Take a pan pour some ghee and heat it,fry dry fruits till golden brown colour and transfer into a bowl.
3.In the same pan add some more ghee,fry carrot for few minutes.Add jaggery and mix well till jaggery melts evenly.
4.Add some water as required and bring it to boil.Add boiled moong dal and rice mixture to the pan,mix well.
5.Add some cardamom powder and dry fruits,give it a good stir.Cook for few minutes.Remove from heat and transfer into a bowl and serve hot.
