Gutti Beerakaya


1.Beerakayalu 1/4 kilo
2.Grated coconut 1/2 cup
3.Sesame seeds powder 1/4 cup
4.Salt to taste
5.Red chilli powder
6.Coriander powder 1/2 tbsp
7.Green chillies 3
8.Curry leaves
9.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
10.Turmeric powder a pinch
11.Oil 2 tbsp
12.Coriander leaves


1.Peel,cut and boil beerakayalu in water by adding turmeric powder and salt.
2.Take a bowl combine coconut powder,sesame powder,salt,red chilli powder,coriander powder and mix well.
3.Now stuff the sesame mixture into beerakaya pieces and keep aside in a plate.
4.Take another pan pour some oil and heat it,add cumin seeds,green chillies,curry leaves and saute for few seconds.
5.Add stuffed beerakayalu to the pan and mix well gently.Fry for few minutes on medium flame.
6.Add remaining masala,some water,cover and cook for few minutes till mixture releases oil from the sides.Transfer into a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot.
