Senagapappu Pongali

Ingredients:

1.Rice 1 cup
2.Chana dal 1/2 cup
3.Coconut grated 1/2 cup
4.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
5.Mustard seeds 1/25 tbsp
6.Dried red chillies 3
7.Turmeric powder a pinch
8.Curry leaves
9.Hing a pinch
10.Pepper corns 1 tbsp
11.Ghee 2 tbsp
12.Salt to taste
13.Ginger chopped 1/2 tbsp

Preparation:

1.Soak rice,chana dal together for 15 minutes and cook till soft and mashy.
2.Take a pan pour some ghee and heat it,add dried red chillied,pepper corns,cumin seeds,mustard seeds,hing,curry leaves,ginger chopped and saute for few minutes.
3.Add turmeric powder,coconut grated and mix well,fry for another few minutes.Sprinkle some salt.
4.Finally add boiled chana dal and rice to the pan,mix well evenly.Transfer into a bowl and serve hot.
