Mushroom Dum Biryani


1.Mushrooms 100 grams
2.Basmati rice 1 cup
3.Bay leaf 1
4.Whole garam masala 1 tbsp
5.Salt to taste
6.Red chilli powder
7.Curd 1 cup
8.Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
9.Green chillies 3
10.Fried onions 1/2 cup
11.Lemon juice 1 tbsp
12.Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
13.Turmeric powder a pinch
15.Oil 2 tbsp


1.Take a pan pour some water,add whole garam masala,pudina leaves,salt,bay leaf,cover and bring it to boil for few minutes.
2.Take a bowl add in curd,salt,red chilli powder,ginger garlic paste,green chillies,onions fried,lemon juice,garam masal;a powder,turmeric,pudina and mix well,add mushrooms,oil and give it a good mix.
3.Add soaked rice to boiling water and give it a mix,bring it to boil.
4.Take another bowl add marinated mushrooms and spread evenly.Now with help of strainer transfer the parboiled rice into mushroom bowl and spread all over.
5.Sprinkle some fried onions,pudina leaves,cover and cook for 5 minutes till rice is done.
6.Transfer into a bowl and serve hot.
