Kakarakaya Kandikoora

Ingredients:

1.Kakarakayalu 1/4 kilo
2.Toor dal 1/2 cup
3.Fresh coconut grated 1/4 cup
4.Dried red chillies 4
5.Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
6.Salt to taste
7.Red chilli powder
8.Turmeric powder a pinch
9.Onion chopped 1
10.Green chillies 2
11.Curry leaves
12.Oil 2 tbsp
13.Buttermilk 1/2 cup
14.Tomato puree 1/2 cup
15.Coriander powder 1 tbsp
16.Coriander leaves

Preparation:

1.Dry roast toor dal,dried red chillies,cumin seeds till light brown colour and keep aside.
2.Blend dry roasted toor dal mixture with coconut grated,salt into a smooth paste by adding some water.
3.Now stuff the ground paste in kakarakayalu and keep aside.
4.Heat some oil in pan,add green chillies,curry leaves,onions and saute for a minute.
5.Add tomato paste,salt,red chilli powder and cook for few minutes till raw smell goes off.
6.Add stuffed kakarakayalu,coriander powder,some water and mix well.Cook for few minutes and transfer into a bowl.Serve hot with garnished coriander leaves.
