Kakarakaya Pulusu Kura


1.Kakarakayalu 1/4 kilo
2.Tamarind juice
3.Jaggery 2 tbsp
4.Rice flour 1 tbsp
5.Onion chopped 1
6.Tempering seeds 1 tbsp
7.Hing a pinch
8.Turmeric powder a pinch
9.Salt to taste
10.Curry leaves
11.Coriander leaves
12.Dried red chillies 3
13.Oil 2 tbsp


1.Heat some oil in a pan,add tempering seeds,dried red chillies and saute for a minute.
2.Add onions,curry leaves,hing and saute for few minutes.
3.Now add boiled kakarakayalu and tamarind juice,mix well.
4.Add jaggery,some water and cook till jaggery melts evenly and turns into thick gravy consistency.
5. Add salt,rice flour and mix well,cook for a minute.Transfer into a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot.
