Kanda Pesarapappu Kura


1.Kanda pieces 1 cup
2.Soaked moong dal 1 cup
3.Onion chopped 1
4.Green chillies 3
5.Garlic 1 tbsp chopped
6.Curry leaves
7.Red chilli powder
8.Salt to taste
9.Turmeric powder
10.Dried red chillies 2
11.Tempering seeds 1 tbsp
12.Coriander leaves
13.Oil 2 tbsp


1.Heat some oil in a pan add tempering seeds and saute for a minute.
2.Add dried red chillies,onions,green chillies and saute,cook for few minutes till nice brown colour.
3.Add kanda and fry for another few minutes.Add moong dal and mix well,Add some water as required and cook till water evaporates.
4.Add curry leaves,turmeric powder,salt,garlic,red chilli powder and mix,cover and cook for another few minutes till done.Sprinkle some coriander leaves and serve hot.
