Bendakaya Pakodi Curry


1.Lady finger 1/4 kilo
2.Besan flour 1 cup
3.Green chillies 5
4.Vaamu 1 tbsp
5.Salt to taste
6.Red chilli powder
7.Onion chopped 1
8.Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
9.Tomato paste 1 cup
10.Turmeric powder a pinch
11.Coriander powder 1 tbsp
12.Cumin powder 1 tbsp
13.Coriander leaves
14.Oil for deep frying


1.Heat sufficient oil for deep frying.
2.Take a bowl combine lady finger,besan flour,vaamu,green chillies,salt,red chilli powder and mix well all the ingredients with water and prepare pakodi batter.
3.Slowly drop them in hot oil and deep fry till nice golden colour.
4.Heat some oil in a pan,add onions,green chillies,ginger garlic paste and fry for few minutes.
5.Add turmeric powder,salt,red chilli powder and fry for a minute,add tomato paste and mix well,cook for few minutes till it turns into gravy consistency.
6.Transfer fried pakodas in gravy,add coriander,cumin powder,some water and mix well.Cook for a minute.Transfer into a bowl and garnish with coriander leaves.Serve hot.
