Four bridges are shut for traffic for the first time in a decade, due to the rising of water levels in the river, rapidly, following heavy rains from the past two days, at Pune in Maharashtra. Traffic came to a standstill in long queues on the hilly routes. Tourists had to cancel plans to visit hill stations. Mutha and Pavana rivers are reaching danger-levels and authorities have warned people to stay away from the banks of these rivers.
