Two countries India and Nepal have signed the agreement recently to provide the additional transit facility to Nepal through the Visakhapatnam Port as second gateway port after Kolkata-Haldia. It will help facilitating transport of EXIM cargo through the Visakhapatnam Port. It has been reported that the movement of traffic in transit between Port of Visakhapatnam and Nepal will be in sealed containers. Visakha Port Chairman Krishna Babu, while interacting with media said that it is an historic agreement.
