Juma, a Jaguar grew in capitivity in a zoo and was used as an exhibit at the Olympic torch marchpast ceremony, at Manuas, in Brazil. It tried to escape after the ceremony, prompting the authorities to use traquilizer darts. As the darts proved ineffective and the animal threatened a vet, a soldier shot it down with bullets. Juma was a 17-year-old female that grew along with its siblings.
