Pahlodi of Jodhpur in Rajasthan sizzled at 51 degrees celcius on Thursday, the highest temperature recorded in the country since 1956. It was closely followed by Churu at 50 degrees. Several other places too recorded high temperatures. The Meteorological department had earlier warned of a 'heat wave condition' in the country. Several other places like Ahmedabad, Delhi, Punjab and Harayana are in the grip of heat wave.
