ISIS had smuggled 2 million cubic metres of gas and 80,000 barrels of crude oil every day to Turkey from a Syrian oil facility which was under their control for two years. In return, Turkey provided money, arms and food to ISIS. A captured ISIS fighter said that the Turkey had allowed ISIS personnel into their territory without any objections. However, Turkish President Erdogan denied claims of Turkey is trading oil with ISIS.
