After Chief Justice of India (CJI) T.S. Takur broke down, while speaking at a conference of chief ministers and high court justices, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was in audience, suggested a closed door meeting. The CJI was concerned about the workload and falling short of judges. The PM told the CJI that he would do his best to increase the number of judges in proportion to the population.
