Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao alleged that Maharashtra and Karnataka states have built irrigation projects illegally on Godavari and Krishna rivers. He gave a call for both Telugu states to fight against illegal projects by presenting powerful arguments before the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal. He said that the Telangana and AP states are not getting water with dams constructed across rivers by Maharashtra and Karnataka states. The Minister asked Telangana government how far it is justifiable to construct new irrigation projects.
