The Hyderabad Cricket Association has given an open offer to BCCI for hosting IPL matches in Hyderabad. The HCA officials focus is only on ground not on groundwater. With Manjeera and Singur dams reaching dead storage levels, the Hyderabad Water Board has estimated that 120 million gallons of water is required to meet drinking water needs of Hyderabad. About 50,000 litres of water is required for each IPL match at Uppal Stadium. The HCA is hosting 7 IPL matches and if BCCI accepts HCA offer then some more additional IPL matches will be played in Hyderabad.
