The Bombay High Court asked the BCCI to consider shifting of IPL matches out of Pune following severe drought conditions in the state. Earlier in the day, the BCCI told the court that sewage treated water would be supplied to stadiums in Mumbai and Pune for maintaining pitches in IPL matches. As the BCCI said it had supplied 40 lakh litres of water to stadiums per day for IPL tournaments so far, the judges asked whether it was ready to supply the same quantity to water-starved villages in and around Pune. The matter has been adjourned.
