All tobacco companies should carry pictorial warnings on 85 per cent of space on packets of their products from today. The government deadline for doing so ends today (April 1st) . Widows of tobacco users are among a huge group of persons, including doctors and oral cancer patients, who have written to Modi about the issue. Though the raising of warning space on packets is a small step, it may go long way in curbing the use of tobacco, they think.
