International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Christin Lagarde lauded India as a shining spot in a global economy that is gloomy and unfortunately too fragile. There should be a continuation of efforts to strengthen the banks, she said. Key reforms like General Sales Tax (GST) should hopefully be resolved soon, she said. She called for more women to participate in economic activities.
