State Bank of India (SBI) chairperson Arundathi Battacharya refused to comment on the Vijay Mallya issue. SBI had offered the highest amount of loans to Vijay Mallya out of the Rs. 9,000 crores that he owes to various banks. But the chairperson remained silent. The CBI issued a second notice to Mallya stating that the first one was a mistake. Notice was issued by an officer of DIG rank, A.K. Sharma. Why this 'negligence' when it came to Mallya?.
