Goddess Kanaka Durga temple Executive Officer (EO) Narsing Rao said that soon formal orders will be issued banning marriages and functions atop Indrakeeladri, the abode of the deity. The decision follows inconvenience for the other devotees, who come to worship the deity, he said. The temple trust has been conducting marriages for poor couples, for years now, right in front of the entrance of the temple. But now the venue has changed to the second floor where the functions could be held, he said.
