Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi told media persons that concerning action against clashing lawyers and attack on Kanhaiya Kumar, he had applied the principal of 'prudent' policing. Use of force would have had serious repercussions, he said. He ruled out that Kanhaiya was manhandled. There was a lot of jostling and there were adequate forces to protect him, he said. He denied that there was any failure on the part of police.
