Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has developed a low cost Ayurvedic drug called BGR-34, for controlling diabetes. It is prepared from the extract of six herbs that known for their blood glucose metabolising properties. The drug also reduces chances of long term complications. It was formally launched on Thursday. It is cost-effective as well as a scientifically proven medicine.
