The CBI filed criminal cases against Pune-based Samruddha Jeevan Foods for collecting money from people with false promises of high returns through unauthorised cattle and goat farm schemes. The CBI booked cases and arrested company's chairman Mahesh Kisan Motewar based on the complaint of the SEBI. So far, the firm had collected Rs 3,000 crore across India and Rs 1,000 crore in Telugu states alone. In a sting operation, it was found that agents are still collecting money from people in AP and TS on behalf of fraud firm.
