India is good example for combination of poor and rich in terms of food security and living standards. While rich are becoming more rich with disposable money. The Global Hunger Index has ranked India in 69th place from the total of 79 countries, much worse than civil war ravaged Rwanda. India has not improved much in rankings when compared with the last 20 years. The Human Development Index also placed India lower than Vietnam, Morocco and Sri Lanka in living standards.
