A huge golden coloured statue of former Chinese general Mao Jedang was demolished by the Chinese government. The statue made of steel and cement was painted in gold colour and set up amidst a vast area of green fields. The constructors wanted the 35-ft high statue to be a piece of attraction. But the government that did not respond until the statue came up, suddenly demolished it on grounds that it had no proper permission.
