An earthquake measuring 6.7 on Richter scale was felt across northeastern states and Bangladesh. The quake hit at 4.37 am local time at Tamenglong at a distance of 33 km from Imphal in Manipur. According to USGS, the tremor was around one minute. Apart from Manipur, tremors have been felt in Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar. So far, no casualties were reported.
