UEFA President Michel Platini and FIFA President Sepp Blatter have been banned by FIFA's ethics committee for abusing their positions. They have been banned for eight years from all football-related activities . It is Fifa's ethics judge Hans-Joachim Eckert, who have imposed the ban. Their offences were judged to be conflict of interest and disloyalty to FIFA. They avoided life bans because corruption was not proven.
