There is no evidence that Salman Khan was drunk or that he was driving, a Mumbai High Court (HC) bench that acquitted the ace Bollywood actor today in the 2002 hit-and-run case in which one person died. The bench ruled out punishment to Salman and questioned the Sessions Court judgement imposing five years of jail on him. The prosecution failed to prove that Salman was driving or that he was drunk when the accident occurred, the bench said. It returned his passport that was earlier seized.
