IT companies like IBM, Infosys and TCS have lost business worth a whopping $60million. The employees of these companies live in low-lying areas which were flooded. They had to travel by boats. The work was hampered as communications were cut off. Most companies were shut down during November due to heavy rains. They have now shifted their business to Hyderabad or deployed their Hyderabad staff to work overtime to complete the projects.
