Chennai Corporation Commissioner Vikram Kapur said that they are facing an unprecedented situation which has left the citizens stranded. The roads have many potholes, which have to be repaired, obviously when the rains stop, he observed. Also several areas have no storm water drains which have to be constructed. At present the situation is beyond one's expectations, especially with excess water from rivers being let out. The priority is to cope with the situation, he said.
