The High Court (HC) has appointed an Amicus Curiae, in dealing with a case on corrupt Revenue officials of Mahbubnagar district. The officials were taking bribes of Rs. 2,000 for issuing Pattadar passbooks and Rs. 4,000 for sanctioning a transformer, from farmers. Both passbooks and transformers are farmers' rights. The HC urged the Telangana government to file a counter in the case.
