Vigilance raids on corporate educationalists, Sri Chaitanya and Narayana institutions in the city, threw light on several gross irregularities in their functioning. Both the corporate giants never followed the rule book in their 25 years of existence. While they flouted almost all basic rules, including income tax, the vigilance officials recommended the cancelling of their licenses. The two had to pay a fine of Rs. 1 crore each.
