A soccer game between Germany and Netherlands is called off Tuesday over fears of a bombing. German Chancellor Angela Merkel was scheduled to attend the match in Hanover. Germany's Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere said authorities had their reasons to shut down the game. Elaborate security arrangements were made for the game after the stadium where Germany was playing France was targeted last week in Paris. The Hanover game was supposed to be a gesture of solidarity with France.
